Page 8, Cloverdale Reveille, December 24, 1997 SRJC Computer Classes at CHS Ronaid Pollard Spring semester is just around the corner and registration for SRJC classes beginning in January at Cloverdale High School is going on right now. If you&apos;re getting a computer for Christmas and you're not sure what to do with it try CIS 101A, PC's For New Users, (7054). The class meets on Thursdays, 6-10pm from January 15 - February 12 and is followed by CIS 101B, Personal Computer Concepts and Practice, (7055), from February 19 - May 7. CIS 84.44A, Introduction to the Internet, (7053), begins Wednesday, January 14 - March 4, from 6-8pm. This is a beginners introduction to the Internet, email, the World Wide Web, mailing lists, newsgroups and more. Shopping for a service provider, getting connected, search- ing the WWW for business opportunities, career placement, and for fun will all be included. This class is for both Macintosh and Windows users. Another class offered at CHS will be CIS 84.42A, Designing Internet Web Pages (7052); it will also be on Wednesday evenings, 6-Bpm, from March 11 - May 6. This is a beginning hands-on introduction to creating your own World Wide Web pages. We will use HTML to create pages with text in various sizes and colors, links to other pages, interlaced and transparent graphics and more. This class is for both Mac & Windows users and is designed for people who want to create their own web pages as well as businesses looking for a presence in the fastest growing advertising market. DeMartini's law practice caters to local needs After Jim DeMartini, Attorney at Law, graduated from UC Berke- ley and then Southwestern University School of Law, Los Angeles, he immediately set up an office in Santa Rosa and two years later one in CIoverdale. Pollard, 150 Sutter Road and Ronald E. Pollard, of Cloverdale, recently completed U, S. Navy basic train- ing at Recurit Training command, Great Lakes, Ill. He is a 1997 graduate of Clover- dale High School. During the eight week program, Pollard completed a variety of training which included classroom study and practical instruction on naval customs, first aid, fire fight- ing, water safety,and survival and shipboard and aircraft safety. Emphasis was also placed on phys- ical fitness. The cere- mony was read by the Rev. Arthur J. Yunker, Jr., on Sunday, Oct. 13, at 2:30 pro. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Guritz of Jack- son and Mr. Anderson is the son Of Mr. and Mrs. John E. Anderson of Swea City, Ia. With her father giving her in marriage, the bride was charming in a ballerina-length white gown of Chantilly lace and nylon tulle over bridal satin. A sequinned headpiece held the veil of import- ed English bridal illusion in place. She carried a shower bouquet of Talisman roses with white orchids and feathered mums. Hermene Guritz of Ames, Ia., was her sister's bridesmaid. Her dress of forest green'I Do" taffeta over nylon net was ballerina- length. She wore a matching ban- deau of braid. Her flowers were green fujii mums. As his best man, Anderson had Jack C. Hutchinson. Melvin Swan- son of Lakefield, brother-in-law of the bride, and Tom McCrill, Jr., of Sheldon, Ia., cousin of the groom, were ushers. Before the ceremony Mrs. Jack Hutchinson played a program of nuptial music. Mrs. Jean Ander- son of Swea City,.cousin of the groom, sang "O Promise Me" and "The Lords Prayer."
