Washington Reports gry people at their refreshment table. PhoW by Fred Campbell. School By C. L. PAUl,SON A wonderful time was had by all at Washington School's Ch=ristmas Paire. The evening began with a flawless band performance under Miss Back's expert direction. The "standing room only" crowd enjoyed A Furious Fable," "He Is Born," "Pat-A-Pan," and the more traditonal but still moving "Silent Night" and "We Wish You A Merry Christmas." Immediately following this musical performance the doors of the crafts fair opened to some three or four hundred community members. Parents and friends completed much of their Christmas shopping at the decorated booths. Parent volunteers and student helpers sold dough ornaments, sachet bags, delicious fudge, God's eyes, plants, beautiful candles, string designs, and ceramic piggy banks to name only a few things. The crowd's hunger pangs were soothed by a cake walk run by the junior high student council as well as a delec- table refreshment table provided bY Mrs Pickler and her home economics students. Students and teachers at Washington were very gratified by the outstanding community support of this Christmas Faire. It is an enjoyable and rewarding experience for everyone nvolved when something that has been worked toward is achieved with so much success. Thanks to all who joined in this holiday endeavor.
