Glad Clover Cinema is back Editor: It's good to see Clover Cinema back on the scene. A year and a half ago the Cinema's owners and local restaurant owners told the City Council that city-sponsored free concerts on 13 consecutive Friday summer nights would put a serious dent in their business. Would the Clover Cinema have closed if the nation's economy wasn't circling the drain? Would it have closed if the Friday Night Live free concerts had been moved to another day? We'll never know. But we do know what it will take to keep the Cinema's doors open. CD Grant, Cloverdale The second monthly Cloverdale Toastmasters theme meeting is fast approaching.
