EAGLES JUNIOR VARSITY VOLLEYBALL : ::+, f Two wins for lady Eagles in NCL I play By Roberta Lyons The Cloverdale Eagles varsity volleyball team (5-3) defeated both Clear Lake and Willits last week in two North Central League I games. The Eagles remain in third place however, with undefeated Kelseyville (8-0) leading the pack followed by Lower Lake, (6-2). The Eagles defeated Clear Lake: 15,1; 15,10; and 15,9. Danielle Bird had eight service points and seven kills; Kristin Lane, eight service points, one kill; Krista Warren, five service points, 15 kills, seven solo blocks; Monica Dalton, three service points, two kills; Katie Gunnink, 12 service points, two kills and four blocks; Caitlin Jensen, six service points, and one kill; Jordan Jackson, two service points, one kill; Mollie Connolly, three service points. The JVs lost 15,6 and 15,6. In play with Willits the scores were: 15,4; 15,5; and 15,3. Danielle Bird had 14 service points and eight aces, one block and seven kills; Monica Dalton, 11 service points, four aces, two blocks and eight kills; Kristin Lane, 13 service points, three aces, four kills; Krista Warren, one service point, five blocks, 18 kills; Caitlin Jensen, four service points; Katie Gunnink two service points and one kill. JVs lost 15, 6 and 15,6. The Eagles play Lower Lake on Wednesday at Lower Lake start- ing at 5:30 p.m+ and will play Fort Bragg at home on Thursday, Nov. 13 for the last league game of the season. Sunday, Nov. 16 is the At Large seeding meeting with North Coast Section championships to be held Nov. 18-22. The Eagles still have a chance to paticipate in the play-offs, according to coach Margaret Fitzgerald. CPR Classes will be offered at Boys and Gids Club Nov. 18 A special after-school Infant and Toddler CPR Class for students will be offered at the Cloverdale Boys and Girls Club on Tuesday, Nov. 18 from 3:30-6 pro. The classes focuses on safety and accident prevention vital to baby-sitters, older siblings and anyone caring for young children. It teaches important life-saving techniques for dealing with choking, drowning, poisoning and other accidents or sudden illnesses. Students completing the class will receive an Amer- ican Heart Association card. The cost is $20, and preregistration is required.
