The PCS consists of two 15 foot high poles upon which two panel antennas are located, and a base transceiver station measuring 51 feet wide by 63 feet high. The PCS falls under the City's Telecommunications Ordinance guidelines as a "minor facility" because it visual impact is min- imal due to trees screening it from view, and the fact that it is dwarfed by the adjacent reser- voir; it's location is 300 feet from the nearest house; it's effective radiated power will not exceed 200 watts; and the combined Non-ionizing Electromagnetic Radiation levels (NIER) pro- duced by the facility are cur- rently acceptable. The planners did made an ex- ception to the telecommunica- tions ordinance allowing the proposed antenna to be located approximately 8', rather than the stipulated 20' from an adja- cent property line. It was decid- ed the location was the best place for the facility--other spots would elevate the structure making it more visible. Vintage World War II Pier 32 Festival Step back into the 1940's!
