For Tenax Mary Pelligrini went 3x4 with a homerun, and Carla Sey- moure balled 4x5. Winning pitcher was Carla Sey- moure while Linda Lemley took the loss. Century 21 and Courtesy Painters each held their own in the second game tieing it up 9 to 9. Julie Garibaldi went 4x5 at the plate for Century 21. Hit- ters for Courtesy Painters x'ere Sharon Greppi 4x4, one homerun and two doub- les. and Rena Sunseri also wrapping up a homerun and going 3x5 at the plate. In the final game of the evening Universal Paintinq barely hung on to a 8 to 7 win over Jr. Samples. Lynn Mittelstadt went 3x4 for Universal while Pare Kirk- ley and Barbara Drake each went 4x4 for Jr. Samples. Brenda Odiorne picked up the win while Jean Vipond took the loss. Jr. Samples had 21 hits for the night. Next week. JUly 25, star- ting at 5 p.m, Universal meets Century 21 for the first game. John's Automo- tive and Jr. Samples play at 6:45 and Tenax and Coute- sy Painters rap it up at 8:30 p m Senior league all-sta :s ,ntaloupes West Side, Grown by Nature's Time Table, Direct from Firebaugh & Mendota Producing Areas, Large Size Monday, July 12, Clo- verdale Senior League All- stars were defeated by Westshore 6-4. In the first game of the senior League Tournament in Willits. Westshore iumped to a 6-0 lead before C]overdale ral- lied for 4 runs in the top of the 5th on a pair of walks and singles by Ron Gren and Matt Cole. A single by Shad Uselton was the only other hit Cloverdale man- aged off Westshores pitch- ing. Shad Uselton pitched well for C]overda}e but took the loss. Friday, July 16, Clover- dale bounced back with a 6-2 win over a strong Kelseyville team. Matt Lemley pitched a fine game allowing just 2 hits while striking out 7 and walking 3. Kelseyville scored two unearned runs in the top of the let inning, Cloverdate came back with 3 runs in the bottom of the let on 3 walks, 3 Kelseyville errors and single by Shad Uselton. Cloverdale scored 3 more in the bottom of the 6th on singles by Todd Rowland, Ron Gren. Shad Uselton and Matt kemley. Rowland also had 2 other singles, Charlie Delfino also singled. Cloverdale defen- sive play, was outstanding. Ponytail league Minors Friday, July 9, the Cubs played the Dodgers. The Dodgers won the game.
