May 28, 1997, Cloverdale Reveille, Page 3 Lyons Eagles base- softball teams are both League I champi- Eagles baseball team the title out-right by [the Clear Lake Cardi- t Tuesday; the softball Eagles win NCLI team tied for the title with Clear Lake after losing their last game to them 16-0. In baseball, the Eagles were 12-3 in league a/r winningtheir final game with Clear Lake 2-0 in a no-hitter pitched by Brent Lile. Taking second place was Fort Bragg, followed by Kelseyville, Willits, Clear Lake, and Lower Lake. In softball the Eagles lost the crucial game with the Clear Lake Cards, 16-0, after beating them 1-0 in an 11 inning game last week. The loss left; the Eagles with a share of the title, however, as both Clear Lake and Cloverdale finished the season 12-3. The atAarge seeding meeting was last weekend and Class A play-offs start this week. Spring Fair in Ukiah May 30th to June 1 The annual Spring Fair will take place at the Ukiah fair- grounds, 1055 N. State St. May 30, 31, and June 1. Butler Amuse- ments will provide the rides and games. All activites are free except for the grandstand events that start at 7 p.m each night. Friday night auto races will be regular prices.
