Page 10, Clovordalo Rovollle, May 14, 1997 Chamber Music Concert June 7-8 The Russian River Chamber Players will perform on Satur- day, June 7 at 8 pm in the Fed- erated Church of Healdsburg. The concert is the fourth offer- ing in the Russian River Cham- ber Music Society's yearly series of performances by beth inter- nationally and regionally ac- claimed chamber music ensembles. On the program will be the Trio Sonata for Flute, Violin and Continuoby JS Bach, BWV 1039; Debussy's evocative "Syrinx" for solo flute; the Phantasy in F# Minor for piano quartet by Frank Bridge; and the richly textured String Quartet No. I in F Major by Johannes Brahms. Performing will be flutist Kath- leen Lane Reynolds; harpsi- chordist Phebe Craig;, pianist Marilyn Thompson; violinists Gary McLaughlin and Steven Huber; violists Linda Ghidossi- Deluca and Rein Djemilev; and cellist Wanda Warkentin. The audience is invited to meet the artists at a reception follow- ing the concert at the beautiful A]derbrook Winery tasting room. Tickets are available at Levin & Co. They all expressed the community- wide involvement in the program and support of the project. At the conclusion of the pre- sentation, Supervisor Paul Kelley echoed the sentiments of the presenters and rallied the support of his fellow Supervi- sors in securing the $48,700, the major portion of the Boards re- maining discretionary funds. Mayor Sink then publicly ex- pressed his deep appreciation for the high level of support Clo- verdale's Youth services Project has engendered. Super Saturday Swap Meet and Hot Rod Show set for 5/24 The Super Saturday Swap Meet and Hot Rod Show, a fund- raiser for the Cloverdale High School ROP automotive and landscaping programs, will be held May 24 on Cloverdale Bou- levard. Registration in the Hot Rod Show will take place between 8 am and 11 am and judging will be from 3 pm to 5 pm. Abarbecue will be held from 5 pm to 7 pro, and dance from 7 pm to 11 pro. The dance will feature a live band--Johnny B & the Stingers. The event is sponsored by Clo- verdale Auto Parts, Esposti Jeep/ Eagle Cloverdale and Esposti Ford Geyserville.
