Lots of stuff here for everyone and a busy summer. Now for a few short shots from the rough. We are happy to hear June Daniel is recovering nicely and is up and around taking care of business. John Whitton is also on the road to complete mend and Herb Selzle is out of the hospital and now home and will be back on the golf course in no time at all, and to all of these great guys and golfers, we say hurry back, we miss you out here on the course! I must not forget Major Phillips since he was on the course the other day after recent mild set back. I am also sorry to report that we have lost one of the best little golfers around. ']'hat would be "Little Domino" who was hit by a car and never recovered. Domino, as you all know, is the little black and white dog that played golf with Alice and Dick Ranfl. Domino was eight years old and had been doing his thing since he was about 6 months old according to Alice. Now, Domino's thing, was as would be properly called, "fore caddy". As Alice or Dick would take their stance to hit the golf ball, Domino would range far out ahead of them, at least in the case of Alice and carefully mark down the ball, no matter where it landed. I have played golf with these people, and Domino, and the little guy was never wrong. He knew exactly where the ball was and even when not visible would root around with his nose, just to let you know that it was there and look again! He never mouthed the ball and seemed to really enjoy his little game. How he came to possess these talents Alice says she doesn't know. They never taught him a thing along these lines, he just picked it up on his own ! I, and I know Alice and Dick, are going to miss this gentle little guy, since he was a joy to watch and bothered no one. See you all up the crick aways and I hope little Domino is up there somewhere, chasing golf balls to his heart's content !
