More and more trash is being spilled from vehicles transporting material to Sonoma County dump sites. Section 23114 of the California Vehicle Code prohibits anything other than clear water or feathers from live live birds to spill from a vehicle. Section 23115 of the Code requires that any load of trash being transported to a dump site be totally covered to prevent anything from spilling CHP officers will be spending more time on roadways near the County Dump sites in an effort to correct this problem. So, remember to cover all loads of trash and use care not to drop anything from your vehicles.
