CLOVERDALE REVEILLE, CLOVERDALE, CALIFORNIA ,, WEDNESDAY, MARCH 30,2011 -- Page 7 Left hander Beau Gastineau lines a single up the middle in a contest against the Knights from Kelseyville. This week's Feature Athlete Of The Week is 14 year-old-freshman Ryan Knowles. Ryan is a two sport athlete who plays both basketball and track for the Eagles. In basket- ball he can be found out at the wing position while in track you may find him running the 200 meters or fly- ing over a bar in the high jump event. Ryan is one of those athletes that any coach would love to have on his or her team. He is unselfish, and works hard to make others around him better. He is also a wonderful kid. He is the type of person who will look you in the eye when he shakes your hand. This young ath- lete has the unique ability to take that respect and bring it into his game. Ryan's favorite subject in school is drama, his favorite food is teriya- ki chicken, and his favorite number is 11. When asked if he had any per- sonal goals for this year's track sea- son he stated it would be great if he could get first place in an event. There are many memories through- out the years for Ryan when it comes to .sports and the one that stands out the most for this young man is when he was chosen as the 6th grade CYO most valuable play- er for his team. Ryan's favorite pro athlete is ex San Francisco Giant's first baseman J.T. Snow, while his all time favorite CHS athlete was all around athlete Jerod Domenichelli. We would like to congratulate this week's Feature Athlete Of The 'Week Ryan Knowles. Senior third baseman Brett Southard gets set for the ball in a home game against the Kelseyville Knights on March 9 which the Eagles won 7-6. 120 SANDHOLM LN., CLOVERDALE - 894-3100 Before kitten season comes into full swing in Cloverdale, Feline Rescue of Northern California is looking for foster parents here.
