Page 6--WEDNESDAY, MARCH 2,2011 CLOVERDALE REVEILLE CLOVERDALE, CALIFORNIA WhitneyEdens CHS Athlete ofthe Week This week's Cloverdale High School (CHS) Athlete Of The Week is Senior guard Whitney Edens. Whitney has been one of the elite players in the North Central League-1 South for the past few years. She has proven over and over again that when the game is on the line she has the ability to not only step up her game but also raise the level of play of those around her. This week this young lady was vintage Whitney. In her last home game of her ca- reer, a playoff game against Ur- suline High School, she played one of her best games of the year. Whit- ney scored 17 points, had 10 re- bounds, six assists, and two steals on the night. The Eagles upset the visiting Bears 60-59 in one of the most exciting Lady Eagle games ever played in front of the home crowd. In a second round game against powerhouse and number one seed St. Mary's, Whitney scored a game high 15 points and led the team in much more than statistical mea- sures, her leadership was off the charts. This fine athlete has left her mark with local basketball fans throughout the empire, she has been a great role model, and has given the Cloverdale basketball program 100% every time she put on the Ea- gles uniform. Congratulations Whitney and thanks for all the wonderful memo- ries throughout the years.
