Clowns Happy and KoKo will be returning to the Citrus Fair with their Happytime Dog and Pony Circus. They'll be performing for free on the midway, says Fair Manager Tom Montoya. Citrus Fair gates open officially at 10:00 a.m. each day with a 10:00 p.m. closing time Friday through Sunday. Monday's closing time is 9:00 p.m. Kids' Days with carnival discounts are honored on Friday and Monday, with Monday doubling as Senior Citizens Day. Admission for Seniors will cut to 75 cents on the 18th Tickets may be purchased in advance at the Citrus Fairgrounds or by writing P.O. Box 445, Cloverdale CA. 9M25. Local merchants also selling tickets to the fair include Financial Savings & Loan, Giovannetti's Sport Shop, First National Bank of Cloverdale, Sciaini Ace Hardware and Cloverdale Food Center Admission prices are $1.50 per day for adults or $3.50 for a season pass for the four day fair. Juniors. ages six through 17 years, can visit the fair one day for 75 cents or pay $2 for a season pass There is no admission charge for children under six years. KoKo is Happy's 16year old son and at one time Ko Ko was the world's youngest professional clown as he started clowning when he was 11 months old. But KoKo can't top his dad for ex- perience; Happy has over 30 years of clowning under his hat. They're one of the very few father and son professional clown teams, says Happy, and they'll also be bringing their fun packed, old fashioned one ring circus. Featured in the free Happytime Circus are per- forming pooches and ponies, along with goats, a llama and their laugh grabbing monkey. Deadlines for entries in Parade - Feb. 12th Tuesday, Feb. 12th is the deadline for entries in the Citrus Fair Parade which will roll down Cloverdale Blvd. Saturday, Feb. 16th. According to the Parade  . Committee and Lester Herring, Chairman, several entries have been received. However the committee would like to see more local participation. "e need more floats", says terrmg, "So this year we are having two trophies in the Float Division. One is for the Junior Category (18 and under# and the other is for adults. The Male Chauvenist Pig Band will be one of the highlights of the parade and will be performing af- terwards at the fairgrounds, on the outdoor stage. The Kiddies Pet Parade, under the direction of Sharon Fontanna, Chairman of the little parade inside of the big parade. The Horse Division will be headed up by Julia and Gary Borgna and Adamae Rege. Other Division managers are beiztg appointed by Joe Bowman, Co-Chairman of the parade. While the "Grand Mar- shal" is yet to be announced, the 1980 parade will be dedicated to the Cloverdale High School Band. Several visitors from our Sister City, Cloverdale B.C. will join in the 4 day festivities on this the 10th Anniversary of the sister-city program. From Seottie the Clown to prancing parade horses, there is always something for everyone. Entry blanks are available at the Tourist Center, Citrus Fair office and Montgomery Wards.
