C L 0 V E R D A L E /------- President Clinton's disaster dec- laration for northern and cen- tral California, state and federal disaster recovery officials an- nounced today. The period of application for disaster assistance remains open, both for persons who were affected by the earlier storms and flooding and for those who suffered new losses, said John Swanson, federal coordinating officer for the Federal Emergen- cy Management Agency (FEMA) Richard Andrews, state coor- dinating officer for the Gover- nor's Office of Emergency Ser. vices (OES) also encouraged peo- ple who suffered damage for the first time in recent heavy rains to apply for assistance by calling the toll-free registration num- ber 1-800-462-9029. People who have already reg- istered and who suffered new damage should also call the Hel- pline at 1-800-525-0321 to re- port their new losses. Blood bank SALES PRICES EFFECTIVE 2/5/97-2/11/97 in critical need of all blood tyes. The Bank will be in Cloverdale for a blood drive Wednesday, Feb. 26 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Citrus fairgrounds. The blood bank is experienc- ing a shortage of blood donations and is in great hope that the Cloverrdale blood drive will help out with the community's blood needs. Donors must be at least 17 years old (there is no upper age limit), be in good health, (free of cold/flu symptoms) bring a pic- ture ID, and have eaten a meal within four hours prior to giving blood. IFC annual dinner due Saturday, 2/15 Saturday, Feb. 15, the Italian Catholic Federation will hold their annual barbecue chicken and spaghetti dinner.
